Liscaragh Software
Dave Devery Consulting Ltd
Version: 1.0
Effective date: 27 July 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on the Liscaragh Software website at liscaragh.com, the choices available to you, and how you can change those choices.
This policy applies only to our website. It does not apply to Liscaragh Migrate or any other software product, which is covered by its own documentation and licence terms.
1. WHAT COOKIES ARE
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website.
Cookies can be used to remember choices you make, provide website functionality and, where you agree, help a website operator understand how the website is being used.
Some cookies are necessary for a website to operate or remember your preferences. Other cookies, including analytics cookies, are optional and require your consent.
2. COOKIES WE USE
2.1 Strictly necessary cookies
We use a strictly necessary cookie to remember the cookie preferences you select through our cookie banner.
This prevents us from asking you to make the same choice every time you visit the website. The cookie is retained for up to 12 months.
This cookie does not require your consent because it is necessary to record and respect your cookie preference. It is not used for analytics, advertising or tracking you across other websites.
2.2 Analytics cookies
If you choose to accept analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use our website.
Google Analytics may collect information such as:
a. the pages you visit;
b. how you navigate through the website;
c. how you arrived at the website;
d. the approximate duration of your visit;
e. your browser and device type;
f. general geographic information; and
g. technical information such as screen size and operating system.
We use this information to understand website performance, identify which content is useful to visitors and improve the website.
Analytics cookies are not placed on your device unless you actively consent to them. Google Analytics cookies may remain on your device for up to 14 months, although the particular cookies and their duration may change if Google updates its service.
We do not use analytics information to make decisions about individual visitors.
3. COOKIES WE DO NOT USE
We do not use:
a. advertising cookies;
b. cross-site behavioural tracking;
c. social media tracking cookies; or
d. cookies used to build advertising profiles.
We do not sell information collected through cookies or share it with third parties for their own independent marketing purposes.
4. HOW WE ASK FOR YOUR CONSENT
When you first visit our website, a cookie banner gives you the choice to accept or reject optional analytics cookies.
No analytics cookies are placed on your device unless you actively accept them.
The option to reject non-essential cookies is presented as clearly and accessibly as the option to accept them. No consent box is selected in advance.
Where you reject analytics cookies or do not provide consent, Google Analytics is not activated and no analytics cookies are placed on your device.
Your choice is recorded using the strictly necessary preference cookie described in section 2.1.
5. CHANGING YOUR COOKIE PREFERENCES
You can change your cookie choice at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences in the footer of the website.
This will reopen the cookie settings and allow you to accept or reject analytics cookies.
If you withdraw your consent, we will stop placing or reading optional analytics cookies from that point onwards. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of any processing that took place before you withdrew it.
You can also block or delete cookies using your browser settings. Deleting the cookie that records your preferences may cause the cookie banner to appear again the next time you visit the website.
6. WHAT HAPPENS IF YOU REJECT ANALYTICS COOKIES
The website remains fully available if you reject analytics cookies.
Rejecting analytics cookies does not prevent you from:
a. viewing any public page;
b. submitting an enquiry;
c. requesting an evaluation version;
d. contacting support; or
e. using any other website feature.
The only effect is that your visit will not be included in our Google Analytics information.
7. GOOGLE ANALYTICS
Where you consent to analytics cookies, Google Analytics is provided by Google Ireland Limited on our behalf.
Information collected through Google Analytics may be processed by Google and its affiliated companies outside the European Economic Area.
Where personal data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, the transfer must be supported by a lawful transfer mechanism under applicable data protection law. This may include an adequacy decision, the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard.
Google's own processing of information is also governed by its privacy documentation. Further information about our processing of website analytics data is available in our Privacy Notice.
