Installing Liscaragh Save
One admin action deploys the add-in to your whole tenant and grants the permission it needs, in a couple of minutes. Nobody needs to install anything individually.
Why an admin has to do this first
Liscaragh Save asks for permission to read and write files in SharePoint and OneDrive (the Files.ReadWrite.All Microsoft Graph permission), so it can save email and attachments where you tell it to. That's a high-privilege permission, so Microsoft blocks any individual user from granting it themselves. The first user to try opening the add-in without this step done will see an "admin approval needed" message rather than the add-in itself. Deploying through Integrated Apps (below) satisfies this for the whole tenant in one go, so no one after that first admin needs to do anything.
Primary path: Microsoft 365 admin centre
Liscaragh Save isn't listed on Microsoft AppSource yet, so it isn't something you'll find by searching Integrated apps' app catalogue. Instead, your admin uploads it directly using its manifest URL, a couple of extra clicks:
- Sign in to admin.microsoft.com as a Global Administrator or Application Administrator.
- Go to Settings > Integrated apps, then Upload custom apps.
- Choose Office Add-in, then Provide link to manifest file, and enter
https://app.liscaragh.com/manifest.xml. - Choose who it deploys to — Everyone is simplest, or pick a specific group if you want to pilot with a smaller set of mailboxes first.
- Accept the permissions prompt. This single step deploys the add-in and grants consent — there's nothing further to configure.
Deployment can take a little while to reach every mailbox (Microsoft's own rollout, not something we control). If it hasn't shown up in Outlook within a few hours, check back in Integrated Apps that the deployment shows as complete.
Self-serve alternative: admin consent workflow
If your tenant already has Microsoft Entra's admin consent workflow feature turned on, a user can install the add-in themselves and request approval, without an admin doing the Integrated Apps step first:
- The user opens Outlook, tries to use Liscaragh Save, and instead of the add-in sees a request-approval prompt from Microsoft.
- They submit the request (optionally with a business justification).
- An admin approves it from Microsoft Entra admin centre > Enterprise applications > Admin consent requests.
This only works if admin consent workflow is already enabled for your tenant — it's a tenant-wide toggle only an admin can turn on, found in Microsoft Entra admin centre > Enterprise applications > User settings > Admin consent requests. If it's off, the user gets a plain "admin approval needed" dead end instead, and you're back to the Integrated Apps path above for that first deployment.
After it's deployed
- Open Outlook (New Outlook, Outlook on the web, or classic Outlook) and open any email.
- Look for Save to SharePoint / OneDrive on the ribbon or the message read surface.
- Sign in the first time you use it — your subscription status is checked automatically against the tenant ID used to purchase.
Not seeing it, or seeing a licence/trial error instead of the save options? Check your purchase confirmation matched the same tenant ID your admin just deployed to, then contact support@liscaragh.com if it still doesn't clear up.
