Purpose-built software, shaped by real Microsoft 365 projects.

We build purpose-built software for Microsoft 365 administrators, consultants and MSPs. Every product starts the same way: a real customer project exposes a gap that existing tools don't solve well enough.

Built by practitioners

Led by Dave Devery, a fractional CIO, Liscaragh Software is developed by Microsoft 365 consultants who use every product on real customer projects. If we wouldn't trust it in production ourselves, we don't release it. More about how we build →

Why Liscaragh Software exists

We spend our days delivering Microsoft 365 projects. Like everyone else, we rely on third-party tools, but we kept finding the same problem. They solve 90% of the task, leaving the final 10% to manual work, scripts or workarounds.

"I wish it did this."

Rather than accept that, we build the missing piece. Liscaragh Software is where those gaps become proper tools instead of one-off scripts. We'd rather build one tool that solves one problem exceptionally well than create a platform full of features you'll never use.

Data sovereignty by default

Many software products move your data through the vendor's own cloud to complete a task. That can mean your files, and sometimes the credentials used to access them, pass through infrastructure you don't own or control, adding another service provider to your data processing chain.

Every provider in that chain is one you have to stand over. Once your files or credentials pass through a vendor's cloud, that vendor becomes part of your supply chain, and a proper assessment means checking their security posture: what certifications they hold, such as ISO 27001 or a SOC 2 report, how they manage vulnerabilities and patching, where they process and store your data, who can reach it, and what happens to it once the task is done. Under NIS2, managing that supply-chain risk is moving from good practice to a regulatory expectation for a growing number of organisations, and it is a duty you inherit on behalf of your own clients.

At Liscaragh Software, we start from a different assumption. If a task can be completed entirely within your own environment, that's how we build it. Data moves directly between your systems, nothing is routed through a Liscaragh service, and there is no third party handling your files in transit.

This approach keeps you in control of your data, reduces the number of systems involved in processing it, and removes a provider you would otherwise have to assess, monitor and account for. Fewer parties in the chain means less to secure, less to audit and less to explain when a client or a regulator asks who touches their data.

Some products genuinely require a hosted service. Where that's the right technical approach, we'll use it, but only after assessing the security and data handling of the service involved. Our default is simple: your data stays under your control unless there is a clear technical reason for it not to.

Who we build for

MSPs

Having built and operated an MSP for nineteen years, we understand the pressures of delivering projects consistently while protecting margins. That's why our software is designed around repeatable delivery and licensing that works for managed service providers.

Internal IT teams

Quick to learn and easy to use tools for occasional but business-critical tasks, so you can do them properly in-house without a consultant or a bloated platform. You pick it up when the job comes round, get it done, and set it aside again until next time.
